.. and then I saw a Filipino lady write this:
Why do Filipinos love to smile?
Filipinos love to laugh and smile even in times of adversity, trials, and troubles. We can always see this during news when the camera, instead of capturing depressed people, is most of the time showing people who are smiling and waving frantically at the camera – ONLY IN THE PHILIPPINES. We always smile not because we are being stupid or just unaffected. We smile because we believe that despite of the hardships and difficulties we encounter, there is still hope. We know that somewhere out there, there is God who will give us strength and courage to face our day-to-day problems. We trust in God so much. We believe that no matter what happen, everything will be alright. That’s the reason why Filipinos SMILE.
